Founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari, Scuderia Ferrari is the longest-running Formula 1 team in existence.
Ferrari has participated in every season since the first F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1950.
Its achievements in Formula 1 are impressive. With more than 1,000 race participations, Ferrari holds records for world titles, victories, podium and pole positions and fastest laps. Sixteen times World Constructors' Champion and fifteen times World Drivers' Champion, its track record in Formula 1 is unrivaled.
Many legendary drivers have helped create this iconic status, including Michael Schumacher, who won five
consecutive titles with Ferrari from 2000 to 2004. Other great champions of the Scuderia include
Fangio, Ascari, Ickx, Lauda, Prost, Räikkönen, Vettel and Leclerc.
Peter Nygaard, a world-renowned historian, photographer and collector, helps us relive the fabulous history of Ferrari in Formula 1, from 1950 to the present day. Rich with 400 photographs, most previously unpublished, and enhanced with thematic highlights and portraits of drivers, mechanics and team managers, this book retraces all of Ferrari's great moments in Formula 1: the legendary races, track incidents, technological advancements, fan enthusiasm and greatest victories.

"When looking at the books of the past year, it is clear to the
observer that the favorites of authors and publishers are consistently the
brands Porsche and Ferrari. Whether large publishing houses or the smallest
ones that, every few years, release a painstakingly researched work about a
still overlooked niche (does that even exist anymore?) in self-publishing –
Ferrari and Porsche books always seem to find their buyers. So it is no
surprise that the renowned – and repeatedly praised here – American publisher
Dalton Watson is now using the 75th anniversary of Formula 1 to publish a
volume about the appearance of Scuderia Ferrari over these 75 years. Danish
photographer and author Peter Nygaard has followed Grand Prix racing for
decades, and one can tell from the selection of photos and the informative and
accurate texts that Nygaard knows what he’s writing about – and it's not easy
to condense 75 years of Ferrari in Formula 1 into a 512-page book. The reason
for this is the sheer number of races: Scuderia Ferrari has started more than
1,000 times – the only team that has competed in every season since the second
race of the year 1950 in Monaco. Other manufacturers have come and gone –
Ferrari remains the only constant in Grand Prix racing to this day.
With more than 500 pages and over 400 photographs, some of which are
unpublished, the hefty volume – priced fairly at 90 euros – provides a good
overview of these 75 years, with all the glorious victories and world
championships, but also the great tragedies and the deaths that have
accompanied Ferrari on this journey. Of course, Nygaard also delves into the
technical development over the decades – from the brutal twelve-cylinder
engines to the difficult-to-handle six-cylinder turbo engines, and up to today’s
hybrid technologies."
