That Marcello Gandini is one of the greatest of automobile designers ever has never been disputed, and whether he is the greatest ever, only time and the directions automobile design takes, will tell. But there is no doubting Marcello Gandini’s immense impact on automobile design in the last four decades of the 20th century that still remains valid well into the 21st century. From the Lamborghini Miura to the Maserati Quattroporte IV, from the humble Innocenti Mini to the epic Cizeta V16T, Marcello Gandini has designed some of the most epochal of all automobiles. Iconic cars like the first-generation BMW 5 Series, the Audi 50/VW Polo, the Fiat X1/9, the Lamborghini Countach and the Diablo, the Lancia Stratos, the Renault Magnum super truck, and many others have all flowed from his stylistic pen.

Designing automobiles that really defined the late 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, even the 1990s, Marcello Gandini is, arguably, the one man who had the greatest impact, the one who changed automotive design the most. A book on him and his design is long overdue. Finally, one is here…

An excellent book that arrived in excellent condition.
The book displays and describes Gandini's work in chronological order. It contains hundreds of photos of all his production vehicle and Show Special designs. In the category of Show Specials, Gandini was the undisputed leader during automotive's most breathtaking era. Some examples include Marzal, Carabo, Stratos Zero and Countach LP500.

Reviewer: Shin from Tokyo Japan
I enjoyed interesting images. a few of them are very rare. But, the book is too heavy. They should edit the book with less pages.
The descriptioms are avarage.

5 of 5 GANDINI - Master of Design October 7, 2016
Reviewer: Branko Radovinovic from Zurich, Zurich Switzerland
a) Book:
Regards the the FIRST and ONLY book on GANDINI: I was simply astonished! What a wonderful concept of a book. Fantastic quality of printing and binding. Very nice layout. Uncerdible interesting text - I will need at least a week holidays do read it in peace. And this page by page.
The pictures are of a stunning quality, although many are old. Everything is so intersting to read as it is so fresh and many facts weren't know before this book was produced. A dream come true for all the car design history enthusiasts worldwide. No question this book will be THE reference regards GANDINI and a huge success.
On every page one feels the passion of all who were involved in this project.

b) Service:
Very fast delivery, well packed. Service of Dalton Watson is 100% perfect.

c) Summary:
This book is really very well done - from A-Z.
You won't be disappointed.

But now I must go back to the book. 800 pages are waiting to be read...

absolutely spectacular book about the career of one of the true design legends of our time. Very well presented, with multiple photos, it chronicles the carrier of Gandini following him from a young designer to today.
Higly recommended.
